Fred and Ginger is a sculpture inspired by the real life Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers. This five foot tall sculpture expresses what the joy of dancing is all about, capturing two fluid forms made out of flowing sheet metal. Behind the scenes is a wire & rod undercarriage overlaid with forged sheet metal to form the flowing contours. This approach shows the two dancers as a couple engaged gliding across the floor and focused on each other’s universe.
Two Become One, is a forged metal sculpture focused on thoughts of relationships. The two people are merged into one body expressing, in symbolic form, what it means to be united in mind, body, and spirit.
Both of these sculptures are currently on exhibit at Butler University's Clowes Memorial Hall (map link).
